Hockey to continue
Posted by Emma Southern on 9 September 2020
Hockey training and matches are continuing as planned, following today's announcement of a new law that governs the size of social gatherings.
Under the new law, social groups of more than six people from different households - meeting inside or outside - can be broken up by police and individuals can be fined. However, organised team sports are one of a few exceptions to this new 'rule of six', as long as they operate in such a way as to reduce the risk of covid infection.
St Neots Hockey Club is currently operating under Step 4 of England Hockey's 'Return to Play' guidelines and will continue to do so. We expect to move to Step 5 (the commencement of league fixtures ) at the end of September.
