Well you can't fault the effort from the 11 players of St Neots who were kindly supported by Sami Farrer in goal who was taxied over by his parents after playing in Spalding. In fact, he did so well he was deservedly awarded man of the match. The game was played in good spirit but Ely had a couple of players who caused all sorts of problems for St Neots despite the defensive skills of Rob Hoye in particular. Two early goals in the first half including a PF and another two early in the second half did the damage. The Saints response was a short corner conversion by Rob Hoye in the second half.
