Match Report

It is a short match report today as the final score and player of the match says it all.

St Neots Ladies 4s with a 15 strong squad met a very dimished Newmarket team for the first game of the day. St Neots dominated throughout the match with goals or assists coming from every player bar the standard defence, a fantastic effort. Today's play was a display of excellent team work, and Liz Owen summed it up well, commenting how good it was to watch from defence as there was some lovely passing using the whole team. The ladies all supported each other, communicated with each other and worked together. A truly delightful game to be part of.
Very special mentions go to Willow Browne and Marie Quintilla who played their first games for the club today. Assists for both, and a goal for Marie, both played very well, demonstrating excellent skillsets, speed and reading of the game. Two lovely new assets to the team and ones to watch for the future I think.
Final score 10-0, with all the team beaming from ear to ear. However, Newmarket must be commended on the game they played today and their sportsmanship. Despite being depleted in numbers, they put in a great performance, and the team were a pleasure to play against.
