| Match Report | L3s vs Pelicans 2s match report
A big change for the team in terms of positions with a lack of defence and forwards, and an abundance of midfield! Nevertheless, the team persevered and worked exceptionally well together even if they weren’t playing in their preferred position! Our very own Ros Lloyd made a return to the defensive line for half the game, doing what she does best and hitting the ball really, really hard! Lots of advances toward the goal but sadly nothing came of them this week, just plenty of close ones and near misses! But at least it can be said that opportunities were created for the shots, they just unfortunately didn’t result in goals! The game was positively challenging with good sportsmanship on both sides, and to make a nice change, good weather! A special thanks to Freya Nicholas from the L1s stepping in to help and be our goalkeeper, Charlotte Simmons and Bridget Bickley who came up from the L4s and gave it 110%, and Claire Piper, also from L4s, who put travel plans on hold for her holiday in order to play and help the 3s- a very well deserved Player of the Match for her!
