Saints Ladies 3s continue with their winning ways with a deserved 3-1 home win in a local derby with St Ives 3s, with player of the match 13 year old Ella Roberts finishing the match in the final 10 minutes with two goals.

St Neots Ladies 3s were at home with a full squad of 16 including seven u16s to take on local rivals St Ives 3s. The home team dominated for most of the match, with Ella Roberts, Amber Dickerson, Katy Lloyd and Katie Pye all having shots on goal but failing to find the back of the net, either just going wide or with a St Ives keeper save. Kirsty Clarke eventually opened the scoring 7 minutes from half time picking up a cross from Hannah Thompson.

St Ives opened the second half with a strong attack, but defenders Louise Abel, Katie Davison-Smith and Rosy Sabatino were in control through the centre and kept the ball away from keeper Tara Bell. But an attacking short corner from St Ives saw the away team level the score 10 minutes in, despite a great first save from Rosy in front of the goal.

St Neots attacked back, desperate to get the home win, pulling the game away from the centre and working hard on taking the ball down the wings to keep the pressure on St Ives.

In the final 10 minutes Ella and Mum Becky Roberts dominated the St Ives defence by staying high and picking up through balls from Lizell Heather and Katy Lloyd to ensure one-on-ones with the keeper. Ella made several fine strikes before finally slotting it past the goalie to make it 2-1. She followed it up with another two minutes later to finish the game 3-1 and pick up player of the match. St Neots Ladies 3s remain third in the Division 4NW East League.
