Match Report

On any other day a player who performs well and scores two goals might be man of the match, namely Joanathan Percival. But Joe Stokes's contribution to this well-deserved result pipped JP to earn the plaudits. Again struggling to field two full sides at the bottom end of the club, and hit by the dreaded A14 problems, the game started late and Saints were hit by an early goal which was equalled by JP from a short corner routine which worked well on this occasion. The second half was equally competitive but Saints gave as good as they got, spurred on by a vocal group of parent-supporters. Kai Hall was solid in goal, Will Bellamy showed both skill and effort and Mark Emery gets better with every game. The attempt to play accurate, passing hockey from the away side was commendable and Nik Payne's contribution up front deserved a goal. Third point of the season!!
