The home side was hit by an early goal by Wisbech but began to give as good as they received. Alex Bird had to quickly reitire due to injury leaving Saints to play virtually the whole game with ten players. A goal from Gareth Cast helped the home side draw level just before half time. The second half was a similar cut and thrust from both sides and dynamic performances, especially from Ben Knights and Mark Harrison, kept the home side in the running, coupled with a series of fine saves from Sami Farrer in goal. Heads did not go down after Wisbech scored again and Mark Harrison put away a second for a deserved draw.
