Starting off with 8 players plus a loan, the Saints gave a worthy performance in a game played in good spirit. Despite their initial advantage, the away side's goalie arriving late through no fault of his own, the home team struggled to make their numbers tell. Everyone of the away side gave their all but man of the match Bill Knights deserved his plaudits but not the fat lip he received from a ball to the face whilst doing a sterling job in defence. 1-0 at half time, but numbers told a bit in the second half and the final result was a 4-0 loss
