A brilliant result for the home side against a top of the table team. With only a squad of eleven players Saints gave a highly creditable team performance constantly blocking and breaking down the Peterborough attacks and still able to launch attacks of their own. Mark Harrison scored in the first half and Saints continued to confound and defy the away side, who are known for their quick and accurate passing game. It would be unfair to pick out individual players but Paul Stubbs and Steve Hill gave particularly good performances in defence, whilst Gareth Thomas and Josh Gardner both gave dynamic, hard-working contributions to help the home side to their win.
