Despite the rare luxury of having subs at their disposal, Saints were unable to capitlise on this and the fact that their opponents only travelled with ten men. Coping resonably well in he first half Saints were only 2-1 down at half time after a well-taken goal by youngster Ben Hopperton. The second half was a different story littered with numerous errors by the home side and facing a generally younger, faster opposition. Despite Kev Sequenza's goal, Saints were unable to mount any consistent attack in the opposition D and did not earn a single short corner. Tom Hopperton was worthy of note and probably man of the match, not just for his skill but for his all-round effort! Needless to say, Tim Poole was again outstanding in goal!
