Well the Grim Reaper was again hanging over our heads this week - perhaps it is our age! Bad hips, damaged ankles, pulled hamstrings... just to name a few of the difficulties the eleven man team had to cope with! That said, despite the first half home goal which caught the Saints defence somewhat flat-footed, the away side persevered against a home squad of 15 players. Saints gave their all; indeed their captain had to spend an hour soaking in a Radox bath on Sunday morning before he could get downstairs for breakfast!! Man of the match went to Paul Ray who a) managed not to make too many derogatory comments to the umpire and b) worked amazingly hard in midfield both defensively and always trying to push forward.
