Two early goals hurt the home side, one from open play and the other a flick given for a foot stopping a shot on goal. Despite this, the 3s worked hard and were able to take the game to the opposition and even had a few short corners. 2-0 at half time was probably a fair reflection of play, despite the best efforts of the defence, particularly Oli Colbert who efforts earned him man of the match for the home team. Despite a well-taken goal from Kev Sequenza to make it 3-1, the 2s continued to surge forward. The 3s pushed forward in greater numbers leaving too much space in midfield for the opposition who took advantage of the extra space to earn their win.
