Mens 3 Vs Cambridge South 4 

St Neots were up against a well drilled and confident team today, Cambridge South started strong off the first whistle and pushed St Neots back for the first 10-15 minutes, With the Midfield workign hard and the defence well structured, St Neots held of the attacking players well, but the break through for Cambridge came and they were 1-0 just after 20. St Neots kept pushing to there credit and worked hard, and just before the half found themselves with most of the attacking play - and we converted through Gareth Thomas and went into the half with a content 1-1.

Second half both teams were looking for that first goal, with Cambridge SOuth bringing subs much of the attacking play was theirs, but St Neots fought hard and kept them out, there second goal was a long punt through from the right side and it ended with a 1-1 run for the ball, Cambridge just got the nick before TOm Hoyle could get a foot to it and it went through the Keepers leg for a 1-2 lead. St Neots kept the pressure up and attacked, mostly on the counter with a few short corners which we were unable to put away. Sam Lawman on the right side of Midfield won the ball back on the St neots 22 and drove forward, beating two players, a great run, passed through and Kevin Sequenza held the ball up well and managed to get a shot off which the keeper was unable to reach, and with 1 minute left, equalised.

It was a great result and a well deserved Draw, with both teams putting in a great effort.
