Match Report | This match was real end of season fare and with the game being an absolute dead rubber with neither team able to change their position in the league, the emphasis was on enjoyment. March turned up with only 10 players and due to the players available to Saints, it was agreed with the umpires that St Neots would play with 10 also. This coupled with a positively tropical 20 degrees on the pitch after such a long winter made it quite an attritional game, especially towards the end. Saints were 3-0 up at one stage, 3-1 up at half time, 5-1 up within 5 minutes of the restart yet managed to implode to draw 5-5 and at one stage the match was being played 9 a side due to a head injury. There was just about everything in the match you could think of except for cards, but at least the team kept their unbeaten run going and haven't been beaten since the end of January. March scored with just about all their chances, while a number of clear chances for St Neots went begging. With more composure, the team could and perhaps should have scored quite a few more.
