Another dominant result from the ladies 3's. They put Saffron Walden under pressure from the start and were unlucky not to score early on when close up opportunities were squandered and the ball hit the post. Evenyually the pressure paid off and Jenny Coleman ran into the circle and lifted the ball enough to confuse the gk who let it through between her pads. A number of short corners were given and eventually Holly slotted home a near post deflection. After the half time break there was no holding back, and despite a few stoppages for injury, the team went on to score another 4 goals. One each from Kira Herbert who scored from a cross from Summer Payne. One from Sophie Faulkner who persevered through the Walden defence to score, and 2 for Summer Payne who had worked tirelessly throughout the game. She deservedly got the man of the match despite going off at the end with probable severe cramp! The defence did not go unchallenged by the Walden forwards but a solid performance from Andrea Pybus, Holly Fraser and g Helen Rowland meant a clean sheet was kept. An excellent team performance led to another convincing win.
