Another great win from a newly formed scratch side. A mix of 4's & 3's players gelled together quickly for Rosie to score early on from a fast break by the forwards. A sloppy mistake in defence allowed an equaliser soon after. The forwards interplay defeated the Bedford defence and Summer Payne was able to capitalise on the free ball. Near the end of the half, a ball was not cleared properly and a slipped shot was tapped in by Bedford. After the break, a reenergised team saw saints score twice with Sophia Ridley on top form in front of goal. A third goal for her was denied by the post but Rosie Bettsworth swooped in on the deflection for her second and saints 5th. Bedford got a late consolation goal but we're unable to break down the defence after that. Old and new players worked hard for a club win. Thanks to all those who stepped up to fulfill this fixture with such a positive result. Saints go into next week with two wins under their belt. Many congratulations team!
