Today's match saw a tight battle between Saints and Welwyn. It was a close first half with Welwyn taking a 1-0 lead before half time. Saints came back onto the pitch with a fighting spirit and stepped up their game with an impressive goal from Sue Glover. Saints continued to push forward, never giving up and in the final few minutes pressed hard on Welwyn's defence. Niamh Gaynor was successful in bringing the team to a draw with her crucial goal just minutes from the final whistle. Player of the match was awarded jointly to Pippa Le Cras and Debbie Bamber for hardworking and strong performances.
