Match Report |
Facing cold, wet weather and a strong home side Saints acquited themselves well with their eleven players. With a younger team than normal Saints were often able to give as good as they got in this relatively end-to-end game despite succumbing to two early breakaway goals. Oiie Dawes was able to make it 2-1 at half time with a great solo run into the opposite D and a fine high shot giving the St Ives keeper no chance. The second half was pretty even, the away side breaking down most of the St Ives' attacks. This was a very good team performance with the Saints man of the match being young Sam Evans who played in a mature and consistent manner throughout.
