Saints succumbed to two early goals and were constantly on the backfoot for this game and struggled to put much pressure on the March goal, never even achieving a short corner. Whilst their effort could not be faulted, defensive play was the order of the day. 4-0 down at half time, the home team made a better fist of it in the second half but were faced by a strong, well-organised opposition. March goals were taken well, with a couple of clever diversions from hard shots which were unstoppable despite the notable efforts of Steve Hill and Andy Brooks playing centre backs. Man of the match for the home side has to go to the consistent efforts of Jack Percival, their youngest player.
