Despite the disappointing result this was in many ways a good performance; at least the Saints had short corners and a few shots this week! In fact the home side lead 1-0 in the first half through what can only be called an own goal, then it was 1-1 at half time. Saints lead after the re-start thanks to a short corner goal from Paul Stubbs whose consistently hard-working performance throughout the game earned him MoM. Eventually though, depite having the younger legs this week of Gareth Thomas and Josh Draper and the slightly dubious forward skills of Ben Seaber, the youngsters of Louth kept up their attack in force for the last twenty minutes to earn their win.
