Match Report | Always good not to lose the first match of the season and against a team that are always competitive in his league. A number of new players to last years team, together with 2 of last seasons regulars sustaining injuries early doors meant it was a mixed performance. We went a goal down in the 1st half and had generally a poor 1st 20. We started to pick it up in the last 15 of the 1st half and despite some personnel adjusting to new positions, we had a semblance of control in the 2nd half without looking comfortable. Danny scored a good breakaway goal midway through the 2nd half, tucking it to the right of the keeper and we had a few more good chances where we could have made the end of the game comfortable. All in all, if I'd been given the choice of a point before the match I might have taken it as you are never quite sure about how the opposition will line up and gets us up and running. interestingly, the result and way the match went was a carbon copy of our opener against Kettering last season. Man of the Match went to Sam, closely followed by Danny and Jeremy. Dick of the Day went to Paul for his yellow card, closely followed by Mark for pulling his hammy and Jeremy for missing a through ball into our defence.
