Match Report | Despite the scoreline, a useful friendly and a lesson in what happens when we lose possession. 5 out of the 7 goals we conceded were as a direct result of losing the ball deep in the opponents half, us being out of position/out of team shape and the pace of their attacks being too much for us to contend with. Despite that, it gave more of us another 70 minutes under our belts, although we struggled for personnel and without Olly being able to double up we would have been playing with 10. Strangely, despite the scoreline we did have a number of attacking moves, including 4 short corners and some good, intricate play at times. We roll on to the start of the season next week. |
